Happy New Year~

Happy New Year~
*Listening to music from a nearby party in my house... Yeah it's that near. A bit troublesome to get there by car, but at crows' fly it's pretty near. Might go over later... Have to walk through a shortcut though, will never get there if you take the roads with that traffic jam. :S *

Biking =)

Trying to master biking this week~
It's actually much more harder than I expected... /.\ At first I thought that since I've rode mini bikes before when I was small, <the actual bike, not those with two extra wheels> it wouldn't be too hard to relearn. But it was so much different, or perhaps because I haven't ride for many years.
The first time I tried, I couldn't balance at all... I managed to gain some balance soon, but I still couldn't ride smoothly,   and my posture was so weird... It's pretty frustrating sometimes, failing again and again.
Just now I managed to cycle one round around my condo's pool~ Finally~
Happy =)

Thanks~

Yay my blog's visitor number has finally passed the 1500+ border, my aim for this hols.. Thanks for all the support so much~
After removing a lot of pretty but basically useless gadgets, the speed really accelerated by a lot... o.O I checked it again just now, and it improved from 60 seconds to 20 seconds... Incredible. Hopefully this can attract more people... <desperate>
Planning to change the music soon, as someone told me loud music is not so suitable for my blog's atmosphere... I'll probably put plain music instead of songs, especially water-themed music.
Any feedback, please leave a message in the chat box~ Suggest some music, perhaps?

Loading...

I just realized that my blog actually loads quite slowly... /.\
I've never know before coz I always open multi tabs so by the time I finish logging in all other pages such as Facebook and Hotmail, my blog here have completed the loading process... It was until one day when I visited a page with a tool that helps you to check the speed of your blogs that I found out this quite fatal problem.
I once read an article about the dos and don'ts of blogs, and one of the don'ts is 'Don't let people load for too long.' T.T
Must be the use of too many gadgets... Sigh, trying hard to clear my blog now...

Taiwan Day 5: Beitou

To put it more accurately, it wasn't Beitou that we visited, but Xinbeitou (meaning New Beitou) rather. Anyway, it makes not much of a difference... The whole area is called Beitou, it's just that there's a new MRT station even closer to the tourist destinations now, so they named it that way.

Okay, so what should you do in Beitou? Actually, Beitou is most famous for it's hot springs. However, to have spas in the hot springs would require a lot of time and some preparations, unless you book a hotel there. Too bad we didn't have that much time. Plus, the hotels are kinda expensive and far away from the main area of Taipei.
Of course, there are still plenty places to visit there except hot springs. In fact, there are several main attractions: the Taipei Public Library, rated as one of the best libraries in the world, the Beitou Hot Spring Museum, the Ketagalan Culture Center, kinda like a museum of an aboriginal race locally, and the 'Coal Shack'.
Unluckily for us, it was a Monday, and three out of four of the aforementioned places were closed... Be warned, if you ever visit Taiwan, do NOT go to tourist attractions, especially museums, on a Monday. :S
However, we did get to enter the public library, which, like everything else in Taiwan, is so much better than our local ones. =.=.And the landscape around was scenic. The park, especially, was very pretty.
It was pretty regrettable that we didn't get the chance to visit the other places though. Maybe I'll have to wait until next time...

Won't post any pics today, coz all of them have me inside... And I looked terrible in photos... T.T
p.s. Any FB friends of mine that may be viewing this, I kept wanting to post my travel pics on FB but I'm just to lazing to sort them...

Buon Natale!

Merry Christmas, guys.
Er, it's Christmas eve... And I'm at home, literally doing nothing... Yep, but don't laugh or anything, I'm not miserable. Please, what's wrong with it? I'm just not that good with those relatives of mine, especially on my father's side. I suppose some of my mum's siblings are nice, but anyway they came to our condo the past afternoon. I don't suppose they're doing anything in particular now either, perhaps having dinner? As for friends, I know a few that are in the same situation right now, and one that's barbecuing... Have fun barbecuing, Nic. Actually, we scheduled something to do together tomorrow, but the host was 'perhaps busy'. And since the traffic's pretty congested, I'm still not good at biking, and I definitely won't walk =.= so where else can I go?
Anyway, that doesn't mean I'm sad or anything, in fact I'm still merry, as long as I still get my presents~

By the way, the title means Merry Christmas <obviously> in Italian. Not Google Translate... I'm trying to learn Italian. Why? The reason... Well, aside from the fact that I've always loved Italy, the food, the weather, the lazy plus romantic atmosphere and stuff, it's all thanks to an idiota. One day I was 'hanging out' online, and my best friend Nat and someone I dislike started talking, er, typing in Japanese, which in turn make the whole group started typing in foreign languages... Until the aforementioned person, a.k.a. the idiot, started complaining that we were all using Google Translate and he didn't want us to do it anymore. Seriously, chi se ne frega? (Who cares?) But that's the point where I decided to try and learn at least one foreign language... Yeah I know it's a stupid thing to do... Anyway I'm actually memorizing the Italian words and phrases in my electronic dictionary one by one. A bad way to learn. Argh. Anyone cares to help and offer me some tips? /,\

Well whatever, the point is, Buon Natale!

The Biggest Joke of the Year ==

It's 22-12-12 now, our Earth is still rotating, the world didn't end at all, we survived. =.= So what was all that fuss about? Thankfully I didn't believe it or I would have finish all my junk food and snacks... As a result I would probably come down with fever or some sort of weird stuff... At the very least I would grow a lot of pimples /.\ and I might be starving now. So yeah, next time you tell me about Doomsday, please, are you kidding me? o.O

*Short post because I'm not seeing very clearly as a result of the 'awkward' phase of those correcting lens, which by the way is called 'Ortho K', not 'Auto K'... Confusing, huh?

Taiwan Day 3&4: Eslite + Bubble Milk Tea

*Yea I finally forced myself to sit down in front of my laptop and write this post*

It was raining those two days, so we didn't really go sightseeing. In fact, we hung out at some friends' houses and did some shopping. Among the few things we did, we went to Eslite.
As you know, Eslite is a tiny version of a mall, with floors selling different things such as stationery, clothes, food etc, all belonging to the same company, which is most famous for its book stores. Actually, it is almost a must-go for tourists.
The bookshop is really big, taking up 2 floors of its own. And there's a huge variety of books, though mostly in Mandarin, including translated novels. The teen/young adult section, especially, offers much more choices than our local ones. Yes, the prices are a lot cheaper too, I mean A LOT. However, we didn't purchase anything as it would be next to impossible to carry books home for tourists.

Taiwan is also famous for another thing: Bubble Milk Tea. We stopped by one of the most popular shops.

The drink is so much better than in those in Malaysia. Don't hit me or anything, but why does Taiwan have everything better than us? :S
<3 Taiwan bubble milk tea.

... Titleless

Yep, there's no title coz I have no idea what to write... Well, not really, I still have photos from my Taiwan trip to post... But of course, I'm too lazy... Sorry dear blog, I haven't posted for some time...
Anyway, I went to my friend's house today... We just laze around... I discovered that the older you grow, the more you gather with friends but the lesser you actually do with them... At least, this is the case with us teenagers. =.=
So, this post is really nothing much... Just to avoid me feeling too irresponsible for not posting. :P
Here's another cute cat pics from Google~
Just lazing around~~

Seen the dentist T^T

Today I went to a dental clinic in Pulau Tikus to have a tooth extracted... I'm getting braces, remember? The doctor's techniques are pretty good, so it doesn't hurt in the process, but it does now. :S To make things worse, I'm having a headache. Again. Really tired and uncomfortable.

Yep, this is it. I failed again in applying AdSense for like, the umpteenth time. What the ^$#!%^$@* is wrong with my blog, for Google's sake? ZZZ I'm so exasperated! >< Sorry, please don't 'thank me for my understanding' coz I really don't understand at all. = =  Guys, any suggestions that may help? Argh.
<GLARE>This is really getting on my nerves.

Of Braces and Contact Lens

I'm getting braces. I'm forced to get braces. Yeah, well, too bad... T.T Upset. Argh. Must hurt a lot... And I wonder can I even eat stuff after having them?? Sigh. Weep. Oh well whatever. The doctor said that aside from chewing ice cubes and sweets my teeth can still function normally... As long as I feel comfortable with, say, eating KFC or eating crispy stuff, I can just go ahead with it. As long as I feel comfortable. My interpretation is that he is not giving any guarantees. One month to my death, so I'd better starting eating a lot now, you now, to store fat like a camel... And guess what, the process of installing (or whatever word that is more suitable) braces takes one hour. Oh. My. God. And with no sedates or anesthesia... 'Coz Mr. Doc promised no pain... Not that I believe it. :S Am I even expected to survive?? :'( I rather you give me sleeping pills so that when I finally wake up like after a day, it will be over. =.=

Okay, the good thing is I'm also getting contacts. Well, not exactly contacts. There's this weird new technology, you wear contacts when you sleep and you don't have to wear any contacts or specs during day time and you can still see clearly. Cool, huh? Yay so I can finally get rid of my specs~~ I hate wearing specs~~

Last thing, NICOLE, if you are reading this (which I doubted), DO NOT COMMENT on it. ><

Taiwan -- Day 1&2 : Fun in Mu Zha

Standard Taiwan breakfast----Ham Cheese Crepe + Milk Tea
Actually, the trip to Taiwan wasn't just about traveling... Coz my parents have a lot of friends there, so we visited them as well... That's why although we arrived by plane in the afternoon the first day, there's nothing much for me to post or write about...
The 2nd day we went to Taipei Zoo and Maokong Gondola, both in Mu Zha. One of the funnest day~~
Taipei Zoo is very VERY big...We couldn't even finish the whole round, we just walked half of it and took a bus to Maokong Gondola. We just went to see koalas, pandas and penguins, all three specialties of the zoo. And of course, since the penguins are at the furthest corner of the zoo, we past quite a lot of animals on the way, such as rainforest animals, desert animals, African animals and Mediterranean animals on the way. So yeah, quite fun~
-- Oooh! I tripped! --
Maokong Gondola is basically cable cars carrying you up hills. It was cool all the same, but not scary at all. It was pretty cold inside though, as wind enter through small windows. We didn't spend much time at the terminal station (the highest station, Maokong), as we came mainly just to experience the cable cars, which were completely different from the Penang Hill type. We only ride in the normal cabins, a decision I now regret, because the 'Eye of Maokong Gondola', or rather crystal cabins, with see through floors, seemed even more fun.
Anyway, photos.
The view.
Outside the terminal station.
 In the station...

Oh yeah, just one more thing. If you see a clear photo but the people inside it is like, translucent, don't be afraid, it's not a supernatural thingy... it's just that my camera has a function that takes three snapshots together and combines it into one so that it's clearer... But it seems to have the opposite effect with moving people. =.=

Laaazzzzy me~~

Um, okay, first of all I'm back from Taiwan...
obviously enough =.= <eyes rolling>
Actually I'm back like, a week ago but I'm just too lazy to update my blog... Sooorrrry~
I'm tired and sleepy~ Let me rest~~
Anyway, I've got lots of great pics there, so I'll be posting them... Of course, NOT those with me inside, I looked terrible. ><
Don't take a picture of me, I look awful! Grr!
Sigh~ Grew weaker since I'm back. Frequent headaches. Seems that I need to exercise and eat more healthily... T.T
Sigh~~
That's about all for today, I'm laaazzzzy to write anymore... =P
