Driving Course

This is a short post, coz I'm still feeling lazy.

I'm kinda in a rush to master driving skills recently so that I can successfully obtain my driving license before I leave for Singapore at the end of January. Someone asked, why are you even bothering to get a license if you're leaving anyway? Well, that's a good question. I suppose it's to get one thing off my mind? Plus, after getting a license, there's this two-year period where you cannot be involved in accidents, or you'll have to take the test once more. Given that I won't be here, problem solved~

Wait, I didn't mention anything about Singapore previously, right? Well, that deserves a post on its own. Anyway, I attended this compulsory 6-hour course on related laws and theory yesterday. (FYI, to obtain a license you have to first attend one of those courses, take the theory exam, learn how to drive, pass the mock test, then only the actual driving test.)

It was... horrible. Like I wasted 6 hours of my life. If you count the time taken for transport and all, that will be 9 hours in total. Not that I'll do anything productive at home (Hey, at least I have finished sorting through all my used reference books!) but yeah. The whole institute was crowded with post-SPM students. Did I mention that I hate crowded places? Well, I just did. Basically, I went there looking forward to 6 hours of sleep, or something like that. I guess I forgot, once more, to mention that talks and speeches of any kind are my bane -- I can hardly sit through any without losing consciousness.

Unfortunately, that was not the case, albeit what my friends who have been there told me. Apparently, the authorities decided that they really hate us, to the extent that they installed CCTVs to check on us. A few days ago, some kids were caught sleeping on tape, and the whole class ended up having to retake the course. Welp. Naturally, the instructors were on full alert mode. Sigh.

So yeah, there goes 6 hours of boredom.

p.s. Guys are weird. Like real weird. Some guy decided to go against the rules and not wear a collared shirt, despite the fact that he did bring one in his bag. It's not like he's oblivious to the fact that we are supposed to do so, or else he wouldn't have brought one, right? He ended up getting shooed by the instructor. Guess what he did? Sneak back again while the instructor wasn't looking, before finallly deciding to change. Oh well.

p.p.s. Won't be blogging this week as I'm traveling to KL with friends, woohoo~

I'm back!

After abandoning my blog for a year and a half, I'm happy to announce that the hiatus is over and I'll resume my blog-writing, now that SPM is finally over! Sadly speaking, my brain is all rusty when it comes to stuff like blogging, playing the piano and other things I used to do, I guess it'll take time for me to pick up my hobbies again. The only source of leisure that I allowed myself during the one month in hell was novels -- loads of those, 46 in total, to be precise. Most are novels that I've read n years ago, and given my goldfish memory, I've forgotten the plot anyway. Well, I'm glad that SPM is over and done with -- If there's going to be a retake, you'll see murderous students burning down Malaysia -- and grateful that I'm still alive... XD

So now that I've graduated, no longer do I have to keep my blog a secret: I'm free to criticize whoever and whatever without having to deal with awkward consequences. MUAHAHAHAH. In fact, I've told many my blog address, with the hopes of getting more views! :3 Speaking of which, a friend just told me that one can actually find out about both of my blogs simply by searching my name on Google, thanks to this naive Instagram post of mine. Life is scary. Good thing that I've nothing to hide -- not anymore, now that no one can deduct my discipline marks~~~ Ah, the joy of freedom!

I'm pleasantly surprised the other day when someone urged me to update my blog in the comments -- thanks for the support! Well, for the next two months I'll be updating my blogs every day, alternating between this blog and the other one. For those who don't know about my other blog, there are links scattered all over the place in this blog. I wouldn't advise you guys to visit me there tho -- I suffer from internal conflict -- I'd love to garner more views but I don't wanna freak people out lol.

So yeah this is about it. Short post because my brain is still rusty, or plain lazy. Here's a picture of a kitten for the sake of cuteness~ :3

p.s. In the unlikely case that anyone is curious about my mental support throughout SPM, here are the names of the books (more like the names of each series): 异动之刻,上邪,妖异奇谈抄,禁咒师,殁世录。

Sweet Freedom

2 weeks of tortuous exams are finally over! And I realized that I have not been blogging ever since January. Form 4 is tough. Like seriously tough. Okay maybe I suck at time management but still. It's like the whole year is packed with curricular and extra-curricular stuff. Whatever. I'm dying. *metaphorically

Anyway here are some random stuff:
1. Bobby passed away. Still remember Bobby? My gran's dog. Well, it's really sad. But actually Bobby might be glad to end his suffering... Golden retrievers tend to have serious hip problems and that has been bothering Bobby for his whole life... The saddest part was I rarely see him ever since we stop going to gran's for dinner last year. RIP
2. Me and Nat had an agreement to improve our creative writing. For the whole duration of this hols, she would choose two numbers per day. I would then check the playlist in my phone for the coordinating songs and tell her. Then, we would both choose a song and write something (anything) based on the song. Not exactly based on the song, just that the song is used as a central theme to develop ideas about. Our writing could be based on the title of the song, the meaning of the song, partial lyrics of the song, or a phrase from the song... It could be anything. Today is the first day and we are already feeling too lazy to do it. I doubt we'd carry out the plan throughout the hols anyway. Well, why torture yourself? Anyway, if anyone is interested, visit jewelelements.blogspot.com as we'll be posting everything there. Do not have high expectations coz mostly I think we'll just write a sentence or two... Well, it's suppose to be creative! Oh and it's in Chinese.

3. Since exams are over I'm back to my couch potato lifestyle again. Actually, the tv has lost its appeal to me. I'm more obsessed over ebooks currently. Did I mention that after reading a whole lot of horror novels and watching too much horror movies, I became immune to fear of supernatural stuff? Well, apparently my immunity has passed. So I'm trying to recreate that by reading horror stories again. It's very sad that the horror movies I recorded in my tv are lost forever after the tv broke down ._. oh well.

4. I think I might have depression. I'm having these mood swings where one moment I'm hyper and the next I'm gloomy. I think it's a result of studying too much history. Don't you agree that history makes you upset? Not just in a sense that I'm going to fail History nor in a sense that memorizing so many facts is inhumane, but in the sense that life is meaningless. Not because studying history makes life meaningless, but because history tells us that life is meaningless. It's like, well, however great your ambitions are, however amazing your accomplishments are, in the end everything disintegrates and all that's left is a mere sentence on the history textbook telling students where and where you managed to conquer. At least that's what happened to Augustus Caesar. Even people like him who built an empire is faced with such sad circumstances, so what are we mere people fighting for? Humans are so insignificant in the timeline of history. Life is just too sad.

School tomorrow

So yeah I kinda feel like crying right now. Coz school's starting tomorrow... I don't, like, hate hate school but still. It's always sad when hols are over, no matter how long the hols are, even tho we got one week bonus...

Well the worst thing about school is, obviously, that we have to cut our hair... I can't stand my current length. My fringe kept falling down, it annoys me... Ish. And also we have finally confirmed who our new principal is and trust me no one likes her. And also, our new classroom is on the 5th floor. Stairs and exercise... Plus, the start of school means the start of a busy year full of tuitions, duties and homework. Oh and exams =.= Argh. The only good thing is we are in afternoon session so at least I don't have to wake up early. Some people prefer morning session tho, they say it saves time. Actually it just forces you to wake up early... But then, afternoon session means I cannot go out for tea with my family. (Like we have a choice anyway.) In fact I barely have time even for tv series. It's like, my schedule is so packed.

I sound so pessimistic. Yeah right. Well I saw my primary classmate's status wishing everyone Happy School Reopening. He's actually excited. Well what can I say, I can only say that I cannot manage to work up any enthusiasm. I mean, when I think of having to fight for seats on the very first day I feel like collapsing... Why do we have to work so hard to even get a seat =.=

So actually the main point of telling you this is that I won't be on here often starting tomorrow... (Not that I have been on here much since this year, but hey I was exhausted after 50 posts...) Bye dear blog.

p.s. Random statement: Don't eat Thailand canned food they say it's contaminated.

p.p.s. Everyone hates chain mail, right? But some people still send them ._.
When a stranger sends chain mail, I be like, *block*.
When a Facebook friend I never talk to sends chain mail, I be like, deletes message without paying attention.

When a close friend sends chain mail I be like, "Duh/Seriously?/Don't be stupid."
When an acquaintance I know but don't know well sends chain mail I be like, *typing* *delete* *seen Jan 11*. Seriously I dunno wut to say when my kinda Christian ex-deskmate that doesn't really talk to me a lot sends me chain mail... Okay I'm just being random.

Happy New Year~

It's a public holiday and I'm lazy to blog. I shall simply put more cute pics of cats <3

p.s. I discovered that you get different cat pictures if you type different languages of cat in google...

My personal fav... So cute <3

Wednesday, December 31, 2014

This is the 50th post. Like finally. I really did it!!! Yayyy!!! *Opens champagne**Throws confetti* I bet Nat and Flo didn't finish it.

Um, the title says it all, so I have nothing to say here. Bye. Happy New Year's Eve...

Um, yeah I did it. Flo and Nat probably didn't, muahahahaha. Okay this is stupid. It's stupid to have such a dare in the first place anyway... It's just finding trouble... Can someone tell me why did I agree in the first place? Can someone remind me not to in future? Well at least it's over and I kept my word. Told you I have patience and perseverance. Oh well. At least I did productive stuff this hols right. (The earnings from this blog is like, what, 50 cents? But still, better than none... I take it as an acknowledgement that Google still wanna place ads on my blog.)

Anyway... heard the news that school will only reopen on 12th Jan? I know it's supposed to be a bad thing coz it's because of the floods, but I'm guilty to say that I still feel happy... Well I can only say it's the instinct of students to be glad when hols are extended, no matter what reason. So yeah I'll still blog next year.

I shall just put some cute pictures here and that's it. See ya next year...

Eyeliner Guy

As usual, I didn't go out to countdown concerts because:
a) No one invited me.
b) It's gonna jam when the concert is over so my parents will so not agree to fetch me.
c) As I'm Malaysian I still cannot drive :S
d) I don't like Malaysian stars and I probably cannot recognize any of them so it's pointless really.
e) *Main reason* I'm lazy.

Anyway... so what am I doing at home? (Besides typing, obviously.) Actually I'm watching Taiwan countdown concerts. Hey all those famous singers are there okay?

The main point is... I saw this eyeliner guy. *Some of you are probably his fans, just don't hit me.*

I couldn't take pictures that show his eyeliner clearly but I'm sure you can google that up yourself. And please ignore the messy surroundings of my house.

He is actually wearing a deep V... What I wanna say is, when I saw him on tv I was like, texts Nat immediately: this, my friend, is what we call 妖艳. I seriously have no idea how to explain it in English. Um...glamorous is the nearest word but it isn't really what I mean... Well I finally have to acknowledge that those guys described as 妖艳 in novels, really exist... Seriously, he looks more glamorous than women...without even looking girl-ish. (Except for the eyeliner part.) What can I say when a guy wears deep V but I can't... (I don't have a nice figure, sadly, so no deep V for me. XD) The world is crazy, man.

But mom says at least he looks nicer than other guys =.=

All Those Han Chiang Classmates of Mine Out There... I Have Something to Clarify. Like Any of You Viewed This Blog Anyway.

Shoo go away if you're not my primary classmate. Well you can still read of cuz but I doubt you will understand. You might call me a bad blogger for posting about such weird stuff but actually the reason I choose to post here is because... I have nowhere else better to post ._. I cannot just barge into the fb group and post there right.

Yeah so since tomorrow will be a new year I feel like clearing my name, you know, stop this misunderstanding from carrying on another year... Well actually... I just happened to be flicking thru my primary yearbook and I realized that most people seriously misunderstood me. Including Jen, Nat, and Fox... basically most of the people that wrote in my second yearbook, misunderstood me. And somehow I suddenly feel annoyed. (For your information... I had two yearbooks, yeah, one is for basic information and the second one is for people to leave parting words in.)

Okay, the thing is, everyone thought I hate Tony because we were competitors. THIS IS UNTRUE AND IT'S SO UNFAIR TO ME! Ouch, sorry for the cap locks. But still, I had to stress my point. Granted, I hate him... But I have perfectly valid reasons, kay? Almost everyone wrote to tell me not to hate him =.= and that seriously pissed me off.

Reason 1: He is a violent, irrational, irritable person who vents off his anger on other innocent people. And his pencils. He loves breaking his pencils. Well if you've been following my posts you will know that:
a) I hate violent guys.
b) I hate people who break things.
I don't get how my classmates can stand his temper. I cannot. Well I don't owe you or anything so you are so not venting your anger on me. Just get lost.

Reason 2: He took my money. Well actually this is mentioned in other posts, some years before... I still don't understand what happened that day. It's like, I dropped my shilling and he just won't return me. I was like, what the hell? It's completely nonsensical behaviour, or maybe he actually thinks that the money is his? But it's like, mine!

Reason 3: Teachers were unfair and they all prefer him over me. I know it's really childish but then I was a child but then, what do you expect... And I really don't know what the heck I did wrong but somehow in my whole life teachers just don't really like me. (Especially my Standard 2 & 3 form teacher. But that's a story told before. I think she's just jealous of me XD and also she can really act, until the whole freaking class thinks it's my fault. Yeah I still remember that and I'm still mad at you guys for that. What you tell me you forgot? *Gives you the evil eye*) Well the headmistress in particular really likes this guy. I'm not the only one who felt this, you can ask our junior who were in the same team as us. And she really disregards me and the junior. It's like, if our team wins, it's because of Tony. If we lose, it's because of me and the junior. I think my junior got it worse coz the headmistress didn't really dare to say anything in front of me coz my mum was quite... let's just say, mum supports me fully and won't believe those teachers' crap. Of cuz there are teachers good to me, but mostly those are teachers uninvolved in the administration. But of cuz, me now no longer care about you teachers. >< Still recall that I mentioned before that I never got those 'model students' award that every primary school gives out? Actually to think of it, I'm really not suited to be anything like that because I am too proud to act in front of you people. Maybe teachers hate me coz I despise acting like I actually respect all of you. I don't disrespect all teachers but I don't respect all either. Respect is something you have to earn. Like that chauvinist KH guy in Standard 6? To hell with you.

Okay I realized that I'm actually quite dissatisfied with my primary school. Perhaps that's why I haven't went back for quite some time. Well, for other people reading this, I hope you don't find me too whiny or childish, it's just that it's kinda sad knowing that people has misunderstood you for so long. So yea I'm been thinking to clear this up and I finally did, one thing off my bucket list... =P

Responsibility

Another post inspired by the discussions in Baidu Tieba. Should an emperor abandon his country for his love? (Note for Westerners: Enperors in China had lots of wives and in romance novels the main female character usually cannot stand it, and so they'll be like, you prefer me or the kingdom?!)

Most people says no. Because it's irresponsible. Some say, it's an honor if someone loves you so much that he would sacrifice his responsibilities for you. Even though you would end up being hated by everyone else. (Which brings us to, is it fair to blame the woman the emperor is infatuated with for the falling of the kingdom? My answer is certainly no. But that's enough for another post...) Me be like, I hate emperors anyway, not gonna get together with one even if he abandoned his country for me... But the point I want to make today, is that the emperor has his right to be irresponsible/responsible. What I mean is, neither his people or his love has the right to scold him coz the choice is his... Of cuz, if you're his love, you should just leave him you know ._. It's easier and I'm sure you can find someone else who places you in the first place, not comparing you with his responsibilities... My point is, you have no right to ask somebody else to sacrifice just because it's his responsibility to. He always has a choice to be irresponsible, you know. It's simply a bonus if he chooses to be responsible and to sacrifice, but who are you to criticize a person for not sacrificing? I believe in individual rights, so I believe that the stated emperor certainly has a right to be irresponsible. You cannot expect other people to sacrifice their love, their lives, whatever... for you. Even if it's the right thing to do, even if it's their responsibility.

But I must also admit that I may have conflicting personalities. In novels, the kinda person I despise to most (next to emperors... For some reason I hate emperors. I think you can hardly find a decent one out of 100) is spies who fell in love with their target. Of cuz, you can always tell me, according to what I wrote above, that the spy has a right to ignore his/her duties because no one has a right to ask him/her to sacrifice for his/her assigned tasks. But then... I just cannot help but feel that it's stupid to do so. It's like if you have to do something then do it well and finish it, don't give up halfway... Or maybe it's just because, for most of the time in novels, the spy who fell in love rarely gets a good ending. Mostly, the person he/she fell in love with, knew that he/she was a spy and was just using him/her. Well... People are actually really annoying and devious creatures. You know what, just get yourself a cat and be done with it. Forget the people =.=

p.s. Please, please, please leave a comment when you read my blog. It's kinda disheartening to just talk to the air... Don't just stalk me and float away, kay? Say something...

Values

Okay recently I've been loitering on Tieba a lot... What I like about Tieba is that there's always someone with the same interests as you, read the same books with you, like the same characters as you... In short, there's always someone you can relate with, and discussions you can take part in...

Anyway, someone brought this up and confused me... Apparently I have a complete different set of values with most readers of that novel...

Well, here's the story. I read that novel a long time ago and so the details are not quite clear but just try to get a main idea of the story. Oh and it's not rational, but just ignore that for a moment would you? (And the story is kinda... extreme. Oh whatever.) It's set in ancient times by the way.
The families of A(female) and B(male) are enemies. A's father framed B's father and resulted in B's whole family being killed, but B escaped. B came back for revenge and killed all of A's family except A... Then B raped A ._. and A committed suicide. C, who committed suicide in the modern world, crossovered to A's body... B didn't know that, of cuz, and was amazed that A survived. To further his revenge, he sold C/A (will be referred to as C afterwards) into prostitution .-. but C was lucky coz D, a general, fell in love with her and so no one dared to bully her. This angered B so he popped up here and then to mock C and to threaten her. And somewhere in between... B fell in love with C... (It's a lame love story, whaddaya expect?) However B didn't say, C didn't know, nor did she have mutual feelings. (In fact she liked D.) One day, C realized that she was pregnant... with B's baby... (D never did anything to her, D is so nice =.=) (I told you birth control is important.) C wanted to get rid of the child but B did everything to stop her. D and C quarreled because D thought C wanted to keep the baby. While D is still mad at C, D's family secretly hired assasins to kill C coz they thought C was the reason D kept neglecting his duties. B saved C and realized that he was in love with C. <I shall skip non important parts.> In the end, C used her connections with D to frame B and B was killed.

To be honest... I'm really happy that C killed B (tho not directly but still). I almost gave up the novel halfway coz I thought it was just another cliche story, C was going to fell in love with B and forgive him and all, coz B seemed like the classic type of main male character I hate but many love. So I'm so glad it didn't turn out that way, that the main female character finally had some brains and decided to take revenge~~~ In a nutshell, I 100% support C for killing B~~~

However, it seemed that the majority disagreed with me. They think that C is a terrible person to kill B, that C is morally wrong, that C betrayed B, blah blah. I really don't get their logic. Isn't it obvious that B hurt C first? That B is the one who doesn't deserve a happy ending? Why does so many people support him? Do they actually think that as long as B regretted and fell in love with C, whatever heck he did can be forgiven? I certainly do not think so, I think he deserves to DIE. Well maybe I just have different values from them. I was beginning to doubt myself but my mom assured me that I have better logic than those people......

Do tell me what do you think.

p.s. Just for your information, I stopped at halfway thru book 2 coz it was getting boring. The story above is Book 1. At the end of Book 2, B and C got together... Apparently B did die, but he crossovered. *looks annoyed* I told you it's irrational.

Violence

I think I might be a bit too observant. Or rather, if you put it in another way, I like observing people. When I have no one to talk to, I usually sit back, make my existence as undetectable as possible, and start listening to what other people around me is saying... Lol I sound like a creep. Mind you I never pry on purpose I just happen to have a good hearing. It's not my fault you talk so loud. The downside is, I have to try my best not to laugh at their jokes.

Anyway... back to the topic. (Seriously I'm writing so slow here coz I kept reading stuff in my Baidu Tieba and felt so lazy to write...) Recently I have a habit of observing the kids in my art class. And so I have made this observation:

Boys seem to be born violent.

I'm not sexist... I'm just telling you my observation. Really. Haven't you ever realized that, boys seem to like stuff like guns, fights, knifes, killings, monsters, destruction, bombs, etc... Violent stuff like that. Like, they like to draw people dying... Stuff like that. I don't think anyone would be crazy enough to teach their children that sorta thing. As a girl I never experience this sorta sensation before so I truly don't understand. And somehow I find this sorta 'boy behaviour' annoying. I dunno why. Well, why would anyone in their right mind wanna destroy stuff for no reason? It's just weird.

There is indeed an alternate explanation, such that maybe online games and tv shows exposed them to violent behaviour. But as someone who grew up watching drama series that involved sword fights, gun fights, whatever stuff, instead of cartoons, I seriously doubt that it's the media's fault. Or maybe there's some chim/deep explanation that males have aggressive genes coz they used to hunt for food... whatever.

Any guy out there wanna explain something? Or maybe I should ask Nat, she is the most boyish of all my friends XD

Fitting Rooms

I went to Gurney Paragon with Nic and Flo today. Did pretty much nothing, just hang around, chat, eat, and try out some clothes. We had lunch at Chili's, the food came in really big portions. The Oreo smoothie is nice and creamy, and very filling. Basically after drinking the smoothie I'm already full. Thankfully me and Nic just shared a snack plate so it's okay. And for some reason, Flo is always able to pick expensive restaurants. So expensive that we three spent RM90+ even tho we only ordered two main courses...

Anyway we originally want to watch a movie but there wasn't any decent ones available, except those Flo had watched without us... Plus we don't have time anyway. So we went (window) shopping instead. And in Cotton On, Nic challenged us to try out random clothes just for fun. I think the shopkeeper heard her... My observations:
1. I take a long time to change clothes compared to Flo and Nic. You cannot blame me I'm wearing jeans.
2. Nic, Flo and I have really different perspectives of what's too big and what's not.
3. Flo spends a lot of time in fitting rooms. She does her thinking there.
4. I'm really too skinny.
5. Clothes only look perfect on models. Sadly I'm only human.
6. Nic enjoys selecting random clothing for me to try on but my random selections for her are all rejected.
7. It's (almost) impossible to find a plain top in Cotton On.
8. Nic has expressions so creative they should be used in memes.

Kids

I'm back from my art class, you know, the place where I get to know kids younger than me, and the place that makes me lose faith in human kind's future......

Is it normal for teenagers like me to despise younger kids? Like, kids in primary. Every time I go there I feel like I'm old and there's a huge generation gap in between me and them.

Seriously, kids nowadays are so annoying. I don't recall going thru such annoying phrases, neither did (most of) my classmates. Well... at least I'm positively sure I did not go thru the destructive phrase. I never destroy anything on purpose. You can ask my mum. I don't get why anyone would want to break something on purpose. In fact I kinda get upset when something gets broken even tho I didn't do it. It might have something to do with what I wrote in "I Admit that I'm Weird (Part 1)". Recalling it, I do remember that some classmates like to break things. They're usually the classmates I dislike...

I have my first try at baby sitting kids today. Thankfully, it's just 3 of the earlier session kids. There are two sessions in my art class, and since I didn't go last week, I stayed for both of the sessions. In between the sessions there's a half hour gap. One of the teachers were absent and the other teacher had to walk a boy home. (Originally she asked him to wait but he kept crying.) And so she asked me to help look after the other 3 kids left. It's okay I suppose, but Pei Jiin I admire your patience to deal with kids for the whole class... 10 minutes are okay for me but that's about all. The earlier session kids are okay, but a boy from the later session was a complete maniac. He kept screaming for no reason. No whatsoever reason. Seriously I suspect that he's crazy, coz he screams in the most... way, like a ghost resides in his body or something... And he was trying to show that he knows a lot of foul words. But he kept getting them wrong... Kids.

I think my art class people contribute greatly to my phobia of having children. The other half is probably a result of Form 3 Science.

Creepy Phone Call (?)

Not really creepy in the sense of a ghost called and yelled at me. (Choi.) Neither in the sense that someone called, I answered but no one reply and there's just this wind howling... Too much imagination huh. Actually when I was in UKM a random number called and didn't say anything when I answered. But it does not sound creepy.

Okay back to the topic. (I got carried away.) Actually (I think I use a lot of 'actually's in my daily speech and blog.) it's not creepy at all, at the most a bit of a coincidence. It has a perfectly logical explanation, it's just that Nic kinda freaked out. Oh well, she freaks out at everything.

So... let me tell you something about the background story first. I, have a smartphone. Not surprising. And it's the only smartphone in my family, my parents aren't tech-savvy. I didn't really subscribe to a new package or what when I first got the phone, therefore my phone had no data, but I don't care coz my house has wifi. One day, my family wanna go to KL. To avoid getting lost, we wanna use Waze, you know, that GPS app that Shu Qi also has I think. This means we need data. So we chose a Maxis data plan that is cheaper. So I gave this new number to all my friends and changed my Whatsapp number. All is fine until I forgot to reload my phone plan during exams, coz I offed my phone as usual, and for quite long too. And so the number expired and I couldn't use it anymore... So the next time I had to go out of Penang I applied for another number. But I'm too lazy to tell my friends or change my Whatsapp number, in case the same thing happens again......

Just now, Nicole received a phone call. From my old number. And she thought it was me. So when she asked me and I said no she freaked out. There are actually 2 explanations.
1. The person who bought my old phone number accidentally called Nicole.
2. Someone (it's presumably a scam or something) called her but did something to alter his/her caller ID, to make it seem that someone from her contacts is calling her. In that case a random contact from her phone will be chosen randomly... That happened to me once, some idiot called to borrow money, and the number shown was Nat's father's mobile. I asked Nat if her dad's phone got stolen or something. The second time the caller called, it was shown as my headmistress calling.... Talk about speechlessness.

Baidu

Anyone here has a Baidu account? Add me. Jeez I sound like Flo asking people to visit her Ask.fm or something. Well... Whatever just add me. I'm a new user there and I'm not really active coz I know no one and I'm kinda too timid to suddenly pop in and say hi to a group of people who are already familiar with each other... Especially since they're all from China... So mostly I'm just there to look at whatever stuff they post. Which is really interesting.

So... What makes me sign up for a Baidu account all of a sudden? Actually I used a lot of China apps and stuff coz they are free, but not Baidu before, coz my internet was too slow. And now that we changed the computer, it became a lot faster, although I dunno why, but it's a good thing right. And since you have to be a member of Baidu to properly see the stuff they post in Tieba (贴吧), I might as well sign up. The main reason I want to view Tieba is... there are a lot of stuff about the random novels I read in Tieba. Yeah I finally found people as random as me...! Actually my reading taste is not that random right. But I still cannot find some of the more random books ehehehehe.

Yeah so if you clicked that link to add me just now, you would have seen the Tiebas I'm following. 2 of them is about a novel series, and the others are about cats... (I'm sure you can differentiate which is which, right?) Anyway I'm really obsessed with that novel series recently. I came across the 2nd book in my e-book app, and thought it was awesome, but there were parts I couldn't understand, so I googled it and it lead me to Tieba. Apparently it's part of a very long series. Still awesome anyway. It's about ghosts and daemons and such, you know, my kinda stuff. It's actually a horror+fantasy+mystery+romance. Nice book, complicated plot. (Very.) Most of the whole book is available online... You can find the links in the Tiebas I follow. You'll like it if you like 都市妖奇谈.

p.s.Guess what's the most popular Tieba in Baidu about.
      Answer: Cats! Miaow~

PT3 Results

I went to school to get my results today. Well if it's up to me, I wouldn't have gone... I'm too lazy a person. (Serious. I won't get up early if I have a choice, even if it's to chat with friends, watch my fav tv program, continue my e-book... NO means no.) But my father seemed very curious about my results. And since mom was too lazy to cook, we went to a restaurant near school and collected my results on the way. Straight As, fortunately. To be honest I'm not nervous (Don't hit me.) since we have known our marks a long time ago, only that it's not official.

Only 11 people in our school got straight As this year. Compared to the usual 100+++ straight A people in PMR... That's really bad. But then it's good enough compared to other schools. To speak of which, most schools refuse to talk about their results when interviewed by the papers. But, humans have antennae. Unfortunately mine is not very long and it's too awkward to ask other people, so I hardly know how my friends did. I don't even know who got straight As in my school... The cons of being away when results are announced.

The government let everyone die, literally. I didn't expect that, neither did most people I think. You have to get 80 marks to get an A, and that's high for Malaysia standards. Not the case in PMR, I think. So at first I told my friends not to worry... But then word came out a few days before that 80 is the lowest for an A. A lot of people are upset, I think, especially Nat, she sounds really depressed in her blog. I'm not good at comforting people so I dunno what to say... Anyway, congratz to Nicole, Becca and Jen~

Quite a lot of people I know got 9As, and they're usually the most upset of all. Most "died" in Science and Lisan. Science is hard, really hard. As for Lisan... I think most didn't do well in the listening part. Well I'm lucky coz my English tuition centre gave us a lot of listening exercises since young, so although it's a different language, I've had some basic experience I guess.

The thing I hate about PT3 is, the K-BAT (higher order thinking skills) questions. And it's all because of PISA or something, you know, that international assessment thing in which Malaysia did badly. I have nothing against high order thinking, but if you gonna ask them, don't you think you better start teaching them? It's like, we have been taught to memorize all our lives and now you want me to think of answers to random questions not on the book. And if I can't it's my fault. Okay fine. If you have to do that, then at least use logic when marking our answers, instead of a marking scheme. The marking scheme is a dead thing but we are not. And we do not all have the same brains. So how can we all be thinking about the same thing. Higher order thinking is supposed to encourage us to come up with our own opinions, not force us to guess what the person who set the question is thinking. It's just not right to mark un-mainstream answers as wrong. Oh whatever thankfully it's all behind me now, I certainly do look forward to a new year and a new life. Good luck juniors, try your best to survive.

p.s. I can't stand the someone who said she loved PT3 coz she can think for herself, when the reporters interviewed her. I doubt so and I bet she's just seeking attention.

p.s.s. Jen I'm still angry at you for destroying our plans!! Originally we planned to gather together today with primary friends. We planned for a long time, but suddenly she couldn't make it, so we cancelled it since it's kinda pointless without her, as the rest of us are in the same school. Duhhh.

Back in Penang

So yeah after five days of camp I'm finally home, on Christmas. Hmm, I'm not gonna talk about Christmas today because it's too cliche. Plus, I'm not a Christian anyway. Actually. my family doesn't really celebrate Christmas. We don't get turkeys... Whatever. Sometimes we buy gifts but then we are too lazy to wrap them up. In those cases we usually go shopping together and buy everyone something. It saves the trouble of buying something that the other person doesn't like... And Jesus isn't born on Christmas anyway, not to spoil your festive mood, but that's a fact. What's special this year is, Fay sent me a Christmas card, yay! So sweet of her. And she actually wrote me a Maths formula that says merry christmas.

Anyway... I feel sleepy now so I gonna stop here. I survived! Yay! Actually the food is not bad if you can eat curry, and beef, coz they have curry beef very often. Which is a good thing for me since I rarely eat beef, as both my parents don't take beef. Plus, they provide 6 meals a day. And I love the spring rolls. (Yeah well I basically love every spring roll on Earth.) It's awesome. The only thing I can't stand is the bathroom. If we have a bathroom in our room everything will be perfect. The camp taught me a lot of things to be honest, including Maths and non-Maths stuff. Anyway I'll say more in following posts, I'm sleepy... I'll upload photos but not food ones. Except the rainbow rice. Whatever good night.

p.s. I know I haven't blogged about the Melaka trip. Will try my best not to be lazy.

Things that Has No Need to Exist at All

This is part of the random stuff I'll post here while I'm away. On the way home, still alive hopefully. So... it's one of those meaningless lists today.

Things that really don't need to exist. Hmm, unfortunately life is full of such stuff.
1. This blog post. (I admit it, it's pointless.)
2. The Facebook Messenger app. (It really annoyed me that I have to download another app just to chat on Facebook. It is a waste of space... And there are tons of other apps for chatting. The good news is, Facebook also realized this and the last time I checked, my messages are safely back.)
3. Online Chinese novels depicting CEOs and their fake wives. Or thugs and random girls. Or rich kids and poor girls. Or female CEOs and their (male) bodyguards. Or royalty and crossover people. Or vampires/zombies/werewolves. (That applies to English novels as well.) (If you never read Chinese novels online, it'll open your eyes just to glance at a few of the titles. They're really... dumb. It can be quite entertaining tho to scroll through a list of titles, as some are laugh-out-loud funny.)
4. School rules. Especially our school's. Hair, socks, pins, correction tape, you name it, we have it. (You Westerners live in so much bliss.)
5. Hostel rooms with no toilet, or bathrooms with no hot water supply... (It's cruel. It's inhumane. It's sad. it's awful.)
6. Creepy wolf monsters. Creepy stories about wolf monsters. My crazy neighbour who insisted to remove the new tiles in the name of feng shui.

I think that's all.

Luggage Packing

Tomorrow will be the last day of the camp, so I'm probably packing up my stuff now. I hate packing luggage, whether it's on the way there or on the way home. Especially when I have to do it on my own. I'm always super afraid that I'll miss something important. Before leaving a hotel I rummage through cupboards like mad.

Packing up luggage is hell for me. Or rather, for people with OCDs like me.

This is the first time I've got so much luggage, coz its the longest time I go away alone. 5 days are a lot for me, someone who never goes to summer camps. This is not a summer camp anyway. The last time I stayed without my parents was going to a competition in Perlis. We stayed 2 nights and I only brought a backpack. This time I need a luggage box.

Anyway I'm looking forward to home and hot water.

If Nothing Goes Wrong...

If everything goes right, this would be the third day of my stay in UKM and I should have done these things (in no particular order):
1. Gain maths knowledge.
2. Accept the fact that my maths will never be as good as the other participants.
3. Get used to cold water baths and not catch a cold.
4. Learn to love curry, curry and more curry.
5. Get acquainted with my roommate.
6. Give my roommate my blog address.
7. Get nice photos to post/interesting stuff to talk about.
8. Attain the good habit to wake up early.
9. Learn not to disturb other people by offing the alarm clock as soon as possible instead of trying to sleep through it.
10. Finish my Brazilian bracelet for Nat. (I plan to do it during the two hours of free time we have. That is, if I don't feel too tired and decides to sleep instead.)
11. Make some friends...? (I'm shy by nature!)
12. Stay away from the forest which may contain creepy wolf monsters. Forget all those creepy campus-based horror stories I've read.
13. Survive.

p.s. In case you're confused by the constant reference to the wolf thing, see the post I Admit that I'm Weird (Part 2).
